John F. Croweak, 85, of Cheshire, beloved husband of the late Mary Croweak, passed away on April 12, 2022. Lovingly known as “Jack” to his family and friends, he was born on June 28, 1936 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Stephen and Hermina Croweak.
Jack was a man who cared deeply for his wife, family and friends, with whom he enjoyed cards, dice, horseracing and fishing. He took great pride in a fulfilling career with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Cincinnati and Connecticut where he ultimately served as President and Chief Executive Officer. He was also a longtime and dedicated parishioner of St. Bridget of Sweden Church in Cheshire.
Jack leaves behind his children: Michelle (Don) McNally, David (Lauren) Croweak, Beth (Don) Hunt, Jane Patterson (Jon Kozlowski) and Christopher Croweak; grandchildren, Ryan (Brianna) McNally, Allison McNally (fiancé, Sal Greco), Michael (Elizabeth) Croweak, Daniel Croweak and Kaitlyn Croweak (fiancé, Matthew Markowicz); great grandchildren, Emerson, Parker and Graham McNally, Mila Greco and Molly Croweak; sisters-in-law, Sue Croweak and Betty Croweak; and MANY cherished in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Jack was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen and Donald Croweak.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., Cheshire, CT. Friends are asked to meet directly at church for a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire, CT. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Cemetery, Cheshire, CT. Memorial contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to: Sisters of Notre Dame, 1601 Dixie Hwy, Park Hills, KY 41011.
