John Denton, 52, of Meriden passed away March 26, 2009 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Jo-Ann Cousineau.
Mr. Denton was born January 10, 1957 in New Haven the son of the late William and Martha (Steen) Denton. He was raised in Cheshire and graduated from Cheshire High School before moving to Meriden in the early 1980's. He was a Machine Operator for Melissa's Enterprises Of Madison, Inc. Previously Mr. Denton founded/owned JED Custom Molding Corp. in West Haven CT; Worked at J & L Tool in Wallingford CT and J. T. Precision Molding in Winsted CT. He also was the co-founder/co-owner of Hydro-Flex Pipe Cleaning Co. of Wallingford CT. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and woodworking.
Besides his wife of six years, Mr. Denton is survived by his two brothers Robert Denton and his wife Martha of Port Charlotte, FL and William Denton and his wife Leslie of Litchfield; a sister Katheryn Behm of Cheshire; his sister-in-law Donna Denton of MA; his nieces and nephews Suzanne, Lynda, Tracy, Michele, Paul, Alan and Andrew; his dogs Bear and Dutchess; and his cats Angel, Lucky, and Hunter. He is predeceased by his brother Richard
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday May 2, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
