CHESHIRE- John William "Bill" Bissell, 84, passed away Sunday January 9, 2011 at Mid- State Medical Center in Meriden. He was the husband of Daisy (Saunders) Bissell.
He was born November 26, 1926 in Newark, NJ son of the late Leonard A. and Laura Larue (Struble) Bissell.
He was World War II veteran, and worked for the Purex Corporation in Industrial Sales prior to his retirement.
John is survived by two daughters Deborah and her husband Thomas Demunda of Maryland, and Diane Essler of Cheshire; four grandsons; and one great granddaughter.
Arrangements- Services for John will be private. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, 06410 is in charge of the arrangements.
