Joanne Quinn

CHESHIRE- Joanne Quinn, 64, passed away Friday August 24, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the Masonic Home in Wallingford. She fought a courageous battle against cancer for fifteen years.

She was born January 30, 1948 in Derby daughter of the late Elizabeth (Cable) and John Grabowski.

Joanne was a graduate of Southbury High School, and the Eli Whitney Technical School.

Her greatest achievement were her children who she was very proud of and cherished her close relationships with. She also adored her two grandchildren who she loved spending time with.

Joanne met the love of her life, Robert Quinn, in 1967. He was her best friend and true soul mate. She loved traveling with him to Cape Cod and especially going on cruises together.

Like so many other Mothers she was always there for her children through everything including their sporting events.

Joanne loved to cook homemade meals, dance, and spend time with her family. She enjoyed life to the fullest, always having fun and thinking of others. She will be remembered most for her sense of humor and her smile.

Besides her husband she is survived by a son Brendan and his wife Jessica Quinn of Southington; a daughter Courtney and her husband Ian Northrop of Southbury; a brother John and his wife Carol Garbowski of Litchfield; and two grandchildren Camryn and Chase Northrop.

Arrangements- A funeral service for Joanne will be held 10 A.M Tuesday August 28, 2012 at The Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main St, 06410. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Higgins Road, Cheshire. Calling hours will be held Monday August 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 P.M at the funeral home.
