Joanne T. Feher, age 76 of Waterbury, formally of Fairfield CT, widow of the late Joel S. Feher, passed away peacefully after a long battle with multiple sclerosis on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Waterbury Hospital.
Joanne was born on May 14, 1946, in Bridgeport, the daughter of the late Joseph L. Russo and the late Theresa C. (Gentile) Russo. She was raised in Fairfield and graduated from Andrew Warde High School, Class of 1964. Joanne worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Waterbury Hospital Children’s Center for many years and then for GWMRI until her retirement in 2004.
She had a lifelong love of 1950’s Oldies music; Doo-Wopp and Motown. She loved watching the Hallmark channel and Jeopardy. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and as well a devoted fan of UConn Women’s and Men’s Huskies basketball. She loved to do crossword puzzles and using Google to find answers.
Joanne is survived by her two loving daughters, Dawn M. Feher of Brooklyn, NY, and Tara L. Feher of Waterbury. She will be missed by brother Joseph S. Russo, wife Nikki Vanderpol, and sister Debra Goff and late husband Bill Goff, Jr. She will also be missed by her niece and nephews Alex Russo, Julia Russo, and Wyatt Goff, as well as many cousins and longtime friends.
