Joan M. Lynch

CHESHIRE- Joan M. Lynch, 81, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022 at her home in Cheshire, surrounded by her loving family.

Joan was born October 18, 1940, in Hartford, CT, daughter of the late John J. and Catherine T. (Lovett) Bartizek. She was a longtime Cheshire resident and a retired bookkeeper from a local law firm.

Joan graduated from Mt. St. Joseph Academy in 1958 and began working for a law firm in Hartford. She moved to Cheshire in 1964. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Joan was a talented quilter, creating many beautiful quilts for her family and friends, donating many to CT Children’s Hospital. She enjoyed hot air balloon festivals, puzzles, teddy bears, tag saleing with her neighborhood buddies and numerous adventures with her friends. Joan was an avid Boston Red Sox and UConn basketball fan.

Joan leaves behind her daughters, AnnMarie Czajkowski and her husband Gary of North Haven and Debbie Hallbach and her husband Ernie of Wallingford. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Kimberly Noel, Matthew Noel, Allison Putman and her husband Kyle, Jeffrey Hallbach, and Jennifer Hallbach, as well as her brother John Bartizek, nieces Terry Bartizek, Karen Pfountz, nephew John Bartizek and best friend, ‘bestie’ Harriet Austin.

Friends may greet her family at a celebration of life which will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 anytime between 1:00-4:00 P.M. at Bella’Gio Ristorante, 835 West Main Street, Cheshire.
