Waterbury, CT Donald W. Jennings, Jr., 59, died unexpectedly on June 17, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Don was born on March 16, 1960 in Seymour, CT a son of the late Donald W. Jennings, Sr. and Bernice (Povalkins) Slawski. Don worked at the Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries, Inc. on East Main Street in Waterbury, where he was honored as a remarkable volunteer. Don enjoyed working with flowers, and formerly worked at a local flower shop.

Don is survived by his sister, Debra Clemons and her husband, Scott Clemons of Naugatuck; his step-father, Kenneth Slawski of Waterbury; his niece, Kayla Clemons and his great niece, Jasmine Fernandez, both of Naugatuck. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his brother, Clinton Jennings and his niece, Jessica Lynn Clemons.

A calling hour will be on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Burial will be private.
