Jayne Demick

Dallas, GA - Jayne Demick, 84, formerly of Waterbury, passed away Thursday June 26, 2014 in WellStar Paulding Nursing Center in Dallas, Georgia. She was the wife of the late Joel Demick who passed away in 2010.

Mrs. Demick was born March 18, 1930 in Waterbury the daughter of the late Edward and Ann (Shea) Distefano. She was a life-long Waterbury resident before moving to Georgia in 2007. She was employed at LeClaire Dress Shop for many years. She was a former member of Beth-El Synagogue before moving to Georgia.

Mrs. Demick is survived by her son Jack Demick of Sharon, MA; her daughter Judy Turner of Dallas, GA; her daughter-in-law Joan Kellerman; her son-in-law Ray Turner; her grandchildren Teri-Leigh Boutot, Katie Kellerman-Demick and Daniel Kellerman-Demick; her nephew Jack Horowitz and her nieces Gail Horowitz and Susan Brand.

Arrangements – A graveside service will be held on Sunday June 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Workman's Circle Cemetery on Stillson Road in Waterbury. Shiva will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contribution may be made to the Demick Family Fund c/o Judy Turner 2461 Scoggins Road, Dallas, GA 30157. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave. is in charge of arrangements.
