Janet Gentile

Mrs. Janet M. (Margiotta) Gentile, 72, of Macon, Ga. Formerly of Watertown passed away Monday February 15, 2010 at Peach Regional Medical Center in Fort Valley, Ga. She was the former wife of the late Armand L. Gentile.

Janet was born May 23, 1937 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Mark and Evelyn (Zarrella) Margiotta. She was educated in Waterbury schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School. She also was a graduate of the University of Vermont where she earned her bachelor's degree in nursing. She was an Instructor of Nursing at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury retiring after many years of service.

She leaves her daughter, Anne Marie Salser of Macon, Ga, her sons, Gary A. Gentile and Scott L. Gentile both of Deltona, Fl. and Ross M. Gentile of Southbury, her brother, Dr. Mark R. Margiotta of The Villages, Fl, and her grandsons, Mark C. Salser and Kyle P. Salser both of Macon, Ga.

Funeral services for Janet will be held Saturday at 10:15 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury 9 Holmes Avenue to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main Street in Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the procession leaves for Mass.
