Janet Effie Fritz

CHESHIRE - Janet Todd Fritz, 95, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at home in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late Russell B. Fritz.

Mrs. Fritz was born July 18, 1920 in Buffalo, NY. She is the daughter of the late William B. and Effie LaWall Todd. She was a longtime Cheshire resident where she was an active member of the Congregational Church of Cheshire serving as a Choir Mother and was a member of the Ladies Association. She was a member and past president of the Lady Lions club of New Haven as well as several Bridge groups. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Mrs. Fritz is survived by her daughter Carolyn A. Hill and her husband Roger of Cheshire; her two sons, Russell B. Fritz Jr. and his wife Erica of Cheshire; and William G. Fritz and his wife Carol of Mason, New Hampshire; her grandchildren; Jennifer; Sharon, Kerry, Benjamin, Eliza, Eric, Sonja, Christopher; and her great-grandchildren Tara, Kelly, Jacob, Madelyn, Mckenna, Anastasia, Cassidy and Ava. She is predeceased by her Brother, William B. Todd, and her Sister, Laura E. Goodman.

Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 5 -7p.m. at Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street.
