NAUGATUCK — Mr. Joaquim Santos Janeiro, age 65, of Naugatuck, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 27, 2012, at his home. He was the husband of Sharon Ann (Cuddy) Janeiro.
Mr. Janeiro was born in Portugal on Aug. 28, 1946, a son of the late Alexander and Maria (DaRocha) Janeiro. He was retired after working as a service technician for many years.
Besides his wife, Mr. Janeiro is survived by a daughter, Carrie Ann Janeiro and her fiance, Joey Gonzalez, of Waterbury; a son, Michael Janeiro of Waterbury; two brothers, Jose DaRocha of Waterbury and Miguel DaRocha of Waterbury; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
