CHESHIRE - It is with profound sadness that the family of James Scott White announces the untimely death of their brother.
James was born April 14, 1967 the son of the late Raymond H. and Ann (Tripodina) White. Jimmy as he was known to friends, graduated from Central Connecticut University with a BS in Finance and Management. While holding his series 6, 7, 9 and 63 license series, he held many positions within the financial investment arena over the last 19 years. Inclusive of, Smith Barney, Travelers Annuities, ING, Robert Reby and Company, Integrity Life and most recently, John Hancock in Boston. Jim was exceeding all expectations set for him at John Hancock and was recently recognized with a promotion after 5 short months. He was best known for his 4 p's approach to selling in the long term annuity market and was in fact teaching his approach to upper management who were amazed with his success in reaching record sales contracts. Among his many employment accolades, Jim was a lover of the sport of hockey; he was fascinated with the air traffic industry; loved coin collecting; appreciated travel; marveled at the beauty of Hawaii; was an staunch advocate against the mistreatment of animals and overall was an exceptionally kind human being.
Many will miss his infectious smile and generous heart. He will be sorely missed.
James is survived by his sister Jennifer R. Dinwoodie and her husband Colin; his two brothers Jeffrey P. White and his wife Susan and Jason H. White; as well as his loving late canine companion Joe.
Arrangements - The family wishes to extend an invitation to celebrate James' life on Saturday October 15, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Dr. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours.
