CHESHIRE - Mr. James Talbot, 88, passed away Friday August 2, 2013 at Elim Park Baptist Home. He was the husband of Margaret 'Peggy' (Mischke) Talbot.
Mr. Talbot was born June 30, 1925 in Meriden the son of the late Milton and Ruth (Johnson) Talbot Talbot. He was a WWII Veteran who served overseas in the Army Air Corp. He was a graduate of Bentley College where he received his degree in finance and was also a Certified Public Accountant. He was a longtime Cheshire resident who was employed by American Refractories and Crucible in North Haven for over 20 years where he attained the title of Secretary-Treasurer.
Besides his wife of 69 years, Mr. Talbot is survived by his sons Dr. John Talbot of Kingston, Jamaica and Peter Talbot and his wife Carol of Cheshire; his grandchildren Lauren and Lindsay as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 360 Church St., Yalesville. Burial will follow in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S.
