James Reeves

CHESHIRE - James "Jim" R. Reeves Jr., 41, beloved son, brother, father and friend, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday June 21, 2011. Jim had just finished doing one of his favorite things, playing softball under the lights at Cheshire Park.

Jim grew up in Cheshire, attending Chapman, Dodd and Cheshire High Schools as well as graduating from Westwood Christian Academy in 1988, after which he completed his formal education at Pinewood College in Pennsylvania. He made friends at all of these schools and maintained lifelong relationships. After college, Jim became a sales representative for the JR Reeves Company in Cheshire, a family owned business. He recently started his own sales and marketing business for the Highland Building Company. He was very excited about starting this new venture as well as for the future.

Jim's greatest accomplishment was being a father to his four children, Lily, Gavin, Aiden and Katerina. He dedicated himself to his children. He spent many hours playing in the yard, singing and just plain being there for them. He also was one of the best uncles in the world to his nephew Will. His legacy will continue in those little ones.

Besides his children, Jim is survived by his parents Carol and Jim Reeves Sr. of Cheshire; his sister Tiffany of Cheshire; as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He will be missed.

Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Friday June 24, 2011 at 7 p.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 until the time of the service. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the James R.
