Martin James

Naugatuck-Martin G. James, 66, of 35 Rough Wing Rd, husband of Elaine (Bellemare) James, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at St. Mary's Hospital.

Mr. James was born January 8, 1944 in Brooklyn NY son of the late Lillian (Goodman) James. He was a retired truck driver previously owning and operating his own trucking business. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed bowling, and was an avid card player and a huge Boston Red Sox fan, never missing a game.

Besides his wife of Naugatuck, he is survived by five children, his twins Jennifer James of Naugatuck and Thomas James of Waterbury, Beverly Valetta of Watertown, Michelle James of Oakville, Steven James of Casselberry, FL, and four grandchildren, Orazio, Melissa, Samantha and Gregory.

Marty's wish was to have a celebration of his life, so please no black attire. Family and friends are asked to please dress in bright colors.

Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck on Tuesday evening, May 25, 2010 from 5-6:30p.m. The service will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
