James Lango

Middlebury - James J. Lango, 62, passed away January 17, 2025, unexpectedly at his home. He was the loving husband of Ellie (DeWitt) Lango.

Jim was born November 12, 1962, in Waterbury, the son of Mariann (Hutten) and the late James W. Lango. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1980 to 1987 and was a member of the Naugatuck Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, horseshoes, and camping. 

Besides his wife, Ellie, and his mother and her husband Ron, he leaves his children Jamie Costello (Christian), Robin Tyler (Michael), and Matthew Lango; his stepchildren Jason Ganavage, Jessica Sousa (John), Michael Garbatini Jr. and his fiancée Samanta DeMichele; his grandchildren Brayden, Landon, Brody, Ethan, Skylar and Cristiano; his sisters Sandy Hamel and Brenda Lango; his brother Joe Lango; as well as the mother of his children, Dawn Loughlin-Lango and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his sister Patricia.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 3 to 5 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Military Honors will be held at 5 pm and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Naugatuck Elks Lodge after the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #17, P.O. Box 226, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
