Cheshire - James “Jim” Jamele, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Ann (Sheehan) Jamele.
Jim was born June 24, 1936, in Waterbury, the son of the late James and Margaret (Braheney) Jamele. He was a communicant of St. Bridget of Sweden Parish where he was an usher for over 50 years. As a letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, he was a member of the NALC #19 postal union. He enjoyed gardening in his yard and was a Bass Drummer in the Mattatuck Drum Band for many years. Trips to Cape Cod was his favorite pastime, but a trip to Ireland was his most memorable.
Besides his wife of 63 years, Jim is survived by his children Cheryl Frappier and her husband Richard, Thomas Jamele and his wife Tanya, David Jamele and his wife Linda; his grandchildren Alyssa Jamele, Andra Frappier, Marissa, Theresa, and Shaun Jamele.
Arrangements – Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 5 to 7 pm at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30 am and proceed to St. Bridget of Sweden Parish-St. Bridget Church, 175 Main St., Cheshire.
