NAUGATUCK - James F. Curran, 89, formerly of Wallingford, passed away on Monday, June
24,2013, at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. He was predeceased by his by his beloved wife
Elaine, to whom he was happily married for 64 years, and his brother Robert Curran of
Naugatuck.
He was born on December 26, 1923 in Waterbury, son of the late James F. Curran and Bertha
Bosworth Curran. He was employed at the former Insilco Corporation in Meriden for thirty-
eight years, and then part-time at the Assessor's Office in Naugatuck prior to his retirement. Jim
was an especially proud veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his son, Thomas, of Wallingford, and daughter, Nancy, of West
Hartford.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Requiem Eucharist on Friday, June 28, 2013, at
11 am. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 210 Church St., Naugatuck. The celebrant will be Jim's nephew, Rev. Michael Curran, of Naugatuck. Full Military honors will be accorded outside the church following the service. Burial will at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home, 201 Meadow St., is assisting with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contribution to The Conn. Children's Medical Center, 282 Washington St., Hartford, CT 06106-3322.
