LEESBERG, FL - James C. McMahon, Sr., of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away August 31, 2016. He was the husband of Joan (Hotchkiss) McMahon.
Mr. McMahon was born in New Haven, the son of the late James J. and Grace (Varneau) McMahon. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Korean War. He retired from Drake's Bakeries in 2000 where he was a route salesman.
Besides his wife of 57 years, Mr. McMahon is survived by his son James C. Jr. of Valrico, Fl., his five daughters, June Nichols and her husband Emmet of Walpole, MA, Joan Doback and her husband Charles Jr. of Naugatuck, Joyce Botti and her husband Michael of Oxford, Jill Musco and her husband Robert of Leesburg, Fl. and Janis Chiarenzelli and her husband Michael of Cincinnati, Ohio; his Twelve grandchildren and three Great grandchildren. His sister, Doris M. Gray, passed away on September 12, 2016.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 12, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 210 Church St., Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery and there are no calling hours. . Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
