Jacinto 'Jake' Fernandes

BEACON FALLS - Jacinto “Jake” Fernandes Jr., 62, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at VITAS at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Mr. Fernandes was born December 29, 1955 in Waterbury, the son of the late Jacinto and Maria (Alipio) Fernandes Sr.

Jake was raised in Naugatuck and is a 1973 graduate of Naugatuck High School, having resided in Beacon Falls for the last 10 years. He was recently retired having worked for many years in the trucking industry, where he was a member of the Local 671 Teamsters. He had a passion for motorcycles and would ride wherever his bike would take him, as often as possible.

He is survived by his daughter Sarah Fernandes of Naugatuck; his son Jake Fernandes and his wife Heather of Beacon Falls; his brother Artur Fernandes of Naugatuck; his sister Leonor Fernandes of Naugatuck; his four grandchildren Tori Pisco, Jalen Utitus, Jacob Fernandes, Dylan Fernandes; as well as his niece, Crystal Harris and her husband Mike.

Arrangements – Visitation will be held on Saturday August 11, 2018 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
