Isabella M. 'Bella' Berdan

Prospect - Isabella M. “Bella” Berdan, 82, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford. She was the wife of the late David G. Berdan Sr.

Mrs. Berdan was born March 4, 1935 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Albert and Bella (O’Brien) Rosenbeck. She was a homemaker who also volunteered as a teacher’s aide at the Regional School District #16 in Prospect. She also enjoyed quilting and square dancing.

Mrs. Berdan is survived by her sons, David Berdan Jr., Richard Berdan of Torrington, Steven Berdan of Waterbury, and Daniel Berdan of South Carolina; her brothers, Richard Rosenbeck and David Rosenbeck, and her sister Jeannie Goumy. She will also be dearly missed by her seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Arrangements - Funeral services and burial for Mrs. Berdan will be held at the convenience of the family in Prospect Cemetery. There are no calling hours and The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 South Main Street, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you send a donation to the charity of your choice in Mrs. Berdan’s memory.
