Betty Jane Irwin

San Diego, CA-Betty Jane (Luptak) Irwin, 83,formerly of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2014. Born in PA the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Luptak. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Women’s Club of Naugatuck. She enjoyed playing scrabble and 500 rummy. She had a strong love for children and worked as a Nanny .

She is survived by her former husband, Donald A Irwin, Sr., of Dalton, GA, daughters, Diana L. Irwin and Sandra L. Dowling and sons, Donald A. Irwin, Jr., John M. Irwin and Mark A. Irwin, her brother, Carl Luptak and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her daughter, Cynthia L. Irwin and her brothers, John and William Luptak.

A Private Service will be held at St. James Cemetery. Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck, has been entrusted with the arrangements. There are no calling hours.
