Irene (Adams) Baril, age 85, of Cheshire, died peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2017 at Cheshire Regional Rehab Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Russell Baril for over 58 years. Irene was born on August 18, 1931 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Hampton Joseph and Lucille (Grier) Adams.
Irene was a supporter and member of the 4-H Youth Organization, the Cheshire Grange, and the Cheshire Horse Council. She was an avid horsewoman and an accomplished trail rider. She rode by the philosophy that “if you got bucked off or kicked, you probably did something wrong.” She lived her life under the same philosophy.
Irene was pre-deceased by her husband, the late Russell Baril and her beloved daughter, the late Roberta Jennifer Baril. She is survived by her children, Laurene, David, and Donna Baril, her grandchildren, Lisa Baril, Kelly Baril, Kristen Price, Ryan Price, Megan Corbett-Baril, and Benjamin Corbett-Baril as well as several much loved nieces and nephews.
