NAUGATUCK- Mrs. Helena C. (Zakowski) Hubbell, 89, formerly of Naugatuck, died Wednesday Mar. 25, 2009 at the Middlebury Convalesant Home. She was the widow of Frederick L. Hubbell.
Mrs. Hubbell was born in Beacon Falls, Sept. 12, 1919, a daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Grabiec) Zakowski, and retired in 1971 from the Lewis Engineering Co. after 25 years of service.
She leaves a brother, John Zakowski of Watertown; a niece, Patricia Blazi of Middlebury and a nephew, John Zakowski of New York City.
Private services and burial will be in Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made o he Naugatuck Visiting Nurses Assoc., 600 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, 06770. The Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. is in charge of arrangements
