Helen Nethery

Helen (Krayniak) Nathery, 94, passed away peacefully at Civita Care Center in Newington, under the care of Masonicare Hospice. Helen was born in Passaic, NJ, on August 10, 1930 to the late Mary (Dzurbil) and Nicholas Krayniak. Helen was the youngest of six children, Marion, John, Mike, Anne and Mary, all of whom predeceased her.

Helen married Robert D. Nethery in 1950. They were married for 71 years before his death in January 2022. She moved to Connecticut in 1972 and was employed by Aetna for 26 years. She loved cooking, reading, needlepoint, collecting antiques and art.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jagielski and her husband Paul; and her grandson, Bobby. She was predeceased by her son, Robert W. Nethery and her grandson, Edward N. Jagielski.

There will be no calling hours. Helen will be laid to rest next to her husband and son during a Graveside Service that will be privately held at St. Mary’s Orthodox Cemetery in Waterbury, CT.

Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in Heaven where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy.
