Helen M. Dowden

CHESHIRE- Helen M. Dowden, 91, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was the wife of the late George B. Dowden.

Mrs. Dowden was born November 15, 1932, in Milford, MA., daughter of the late Francis and Anna (Bird) Mee. She was a retired Customer Service Representative for Colonial Bank in Waterbury, Ct.

Mrs. Dowden leaves behind her grandson, Matthew Dowden, of Old Saybrook; her granddaughter, Erica LaFrance, and her husband, Brian LaFrance, of North Carolina. She also leaves her 9 great grandchildren Gabby, Brooke, Emily, Caitlynn, Bryce, Lindsey, Taylor, Julie, and Zachary. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Dowden was predeceased by her son, Joel Dowden, her sister, Irene D’Onofrio and her brother, John Mee.

Arrangements – A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, October 25, 2024 at St. Bridget of Sweden Parish / St. Bridget Church, 175 Main Street., Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. There are no calling hours, and The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, is assisting with arrangements.
