Richard “Rich” Steven Hart, son of the late William Robert Hart, Sr. and Elizabeth Hart, passed away on August 12th after a long illness.
Rich earned a Master of Science degree in Biology from Farleigh Dickinson University in 1972 and worked at various jobs before joining Unilever where he worked for 24 years prior to retiring in 2004. He was a generous soul, who contributed to many charities throughout the years. Upon his retirement, he indulged his love for classic cars by purchasing a vintage convertible Jaguar. As a passionate music enthusiast, he built an impressive record collection and dedicated time to volunteering at a local community-supported radio station. Rich indulged in beers from around the world and as a whisky connoisseur appreciated a fine Scotch. Rich had a sharp wit and will be remembered fondly by his niece and nephew for his unique sense of humor and satire. Holidays will never be the same without him.
Rich is survived by his brother and his sister-in-law, William and Helen Hart, of Bradenton, Florida; his nephew and his wife, David and Fran Hart of Randolph, NJ; his niece and her husband, Kim and Steve Nagle of Tranquility, NJ, a great nephew, Kyle Hart, also of Randolph, as well as his good friends.
A private celebration of life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
