CHESHIRE; Mr. Halleem Coury, Jr. 84 of Cheshire, passed away Friday July 9, 2010 at the Highlands Health Care Center in Cheshire. He was the husband of Armilla (Brouillet) Coury.
Mr. Coury was born April 24, 1926 in Cairo, IL a son of the Halleem and Adeby (Koury) Coury and has been a Cheshire resident since 1971. He was a graduate of Saint Joseph High School in Cairo and was employed at Uniroyal retiring after 34 years in Corporate Finance. He was a veteran of the US Army Aircorp. Mr. Coury was a HAM radio operator and was a communicant of Saint Bridget Church.
Besides his wife he leaves his sons, Richard Coury and his wife Jane of Walpole, Ma, Robert Coury of Plantsville, Thomas Coury and his wife Jackie of New Fairfield, James Coury and his wife Terri of Hamden and John Coury and his fiance Tracy of Wallingford, his daughters, Mary Coury of Cheshire and Jean Mangini and her husband Larry of Plantsville, his brother, Richard Coury of San Francisco, his sister, Margaret Barker of Ventura, Ca, his grandchildren, Erika, Eric, Raymond, Justin, Melissa, Cheryl, Christine, Christopher, Brian and Kelly and his great grandson Anthony. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alfred and Leonard Coury.
Funeral services and burial for Mr. Coury will be private and at the convenience of his family. There are no calling hours.
