WATERBURY — Grace Allison Halkett, age 51, of Waterbury, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph Roberts.
Grace was born in Waterbury on Feb. 2, 1961, a daughter of the late Roland and Josephine Halkett. She worked as a pharmacy technician at Saint Mary's Hospital and was a communicant of Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury. She enjoyed going to the beach and doing word games and was an avid reader.
Besides her husband, Grace is survived by a daughter, Elena Roberts of Waterbury; a sister, Sandra Riley and her husband, John, of Prospect; a brother, Robert Strasdauskas and his wife, Patricia, of Wolcott; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, James Halkett and John Strasdauskas, and a sister, Ellen Morton.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Prospect, on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
