Shelton, CT Tricia Jeanne Hale, 86, passed away on October 7, 2023 at The Madison House. She was the loving companion of the late Donald Cavanaugh.
Tricia was born on September 14, 1937 in Waterbury, CT daughter to the late Lois (Brennan) Hale. Tricia was raised in Naugatuck and graduated from Naugatuck High School, class of 1955. She was a personnel administrator at Risdon / Fabricated Metal Products for more than 30 years.
Tricia loved dogs. Over the years she was the “mother” to Prince, Morgan, Goldie, Coach, Maddie and most recently Baby, who gave her great comfort. She enjoyed taking walks in her neighborhood and in the downtown area. She was very proud of her Brennan family heritage in Naugatuck dating back to the mid 1800’s and enjoyed telling family stories that had been passed down through generations.
Tricia is survived by her two nephews; Jeffrey Hale of Houston, Texas, and Douglas Hale (Carrie) of Naugatuck, her niece, Paige Bennett (Tom) of Seymour and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her companion, Donald and her mother, Lois, Tricia is predeceased by her brother, William (Buddy) Hale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is kindly asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5-7pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
