Doris Gyolai

Litchfield, CT Doris A. Gyolai, 88, widow of Matthew A. Gyolai, died
peacefully on November 9, 2022.

Doris was born on January 22, 1934 in New Bedford, MA, daughter of the late Manuel M. and Marie Flora (Gendron) Pimentle. Dottie and Mattie were married on May 7, 1955 and happily shared 65 years together, until Mattie’s death in December, 2020. Doris enjoyed crocheting, sewing, decorating and reading, however, her greatest joy was spending time with her family, whom she cherished.

Doris is survived by her 2 sons, Mark and his wife Maria Gyolai and Todd and his wife Sally Gyolai; her daughter, Erin Losty, and her husband, Ken Cassella; her grandchildren, Brianna, Aubrinne & Shyler Losty and Zachary, Connor and Joshua Gyolai, and her great granddaughter, Kennedy Ellison. In addition to her husband and parents, Doris was predeceased by her son, Craig Gyolai.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 12 Ardsley Road, Waterbury. Those attending are asked to please meet directly at church. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
