Jorge Goja

NAUGATUCK - Mr. Jorge Manuel Silva Pinto Goja, age 46, of 9 Celentano Drive, died Monday, May 17, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of Maria (Esteves) Goja.

Mr. Goja was born in Portugal on Aug. 11, 1963, son of Joaquim Pinto Goja and Rosa Vareta Silva Goja of Portugal. He was employed as a team leader at Laticrete International in Bethany and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Waterbury. He was an avid soccer fan.

Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Goja is survived by a daughter, Melissa Goja of Naugatuck; two sons, Gabriel and Jason Goja, both of Naugatuck; four sisters, Bela Goja of Portugal, Paula Goja of Luxembourg, Dina Goja of Luxembourg and Madalena Goja of Portugal; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Aderito Santos and Cascais, both of Portugal and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 2071 Baldwin St., Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Portugal at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck on Friday, May 21, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m.
