Glen H. Hughes

Waterbury - Glen H. Hughes, 81, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023. 

Mr. Hughes was born December 18, 1941, in Waterbury, the son of the late Herbert and Gertrude (Golden) Hughes Jr.  He was a lifelong Waterbury resident working in the manufacturing industry as a Machine Operator.  He enjoyed fishing and working on outboard boat motors.

He was a member and Past Master Wolcott, Lodge 146, A. F. & A. M., the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Waterbury, Lafayette Consistory, 32^nd degree, Valley of Bridgeport, and Sphinx Temple of the Shrine, Newington.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews Robert Hughes, Debrah (Hughes) Recchioni, David Hughes, Douglas Hughes, Gary Hughes, Christine Cugno, and Bert Hughes.  In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers Howard Hughes and Herbert Hughes III. 

Arrangements – Visitation for Mr. Hughes will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 9 a.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. until the start of the Masonic Service at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home or to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104-2396.
