Mrs. Gladys Evelyn (Schofield)(Tuomey) Judd, 88, of 180 Scott Rd., Waterbury and a Naugatuck native, died Monday morning Oct. 20, 2008 at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Robert Tuomey and Philip Judd. Mrs. Jud was born in Naugatuck, Mar. 27, 1920, a daughter of the late Ericsson and Hazel (ODonnell) Schofield. She was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and Bay Pat College in Springfield, Mass. and had been a resident of East Dennis, Mass. for over 35 years and a former resident of Vero Beach, Fl. for over 20 years, prior to moving back to Conn. in Feb. of this year. While a resident of Cape Cod, she was an Assistant Vice-President in the Banking field, prior to her retirement. She was a former member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Naugatuck. She was an active member of AA for over 45 years. She leaves two nephews, Bradford Gear and Steven Gear and several cousins, including, Daryl Masone of Naugatuck, Samantha Moulton of Sturbridge, Mass., Sarah Berg of Cheshire, Eric Brummett of Tampa, Fl., Karen Coates of Hebron, George ODonnell and Sandy Robinson both of Naugatuck, and Timothy ODonnell and Mary Jane Bogrette both of Cheshire. Funeral services will be held on Saturday Oct. 25th at 11 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home of Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
