George L. Gillott Jr.

PROSPECT - Mr. George L. Gillott Jr., age 89, of Prospect, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the widower of Barbara (Clark) Gillott.
Mr. Gillott was born in Waterbury on April 23, 1922, son of the late George L. Gillott Sr. and the late Ida (Horner) Gillott. He was retired after working for many years as a model maker at Robertshaw-Lux Time and Transamerica Delaval. He graduated from Leavenworth High School and Muskingum College and was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II.
Mr. Gillott is survived by two sons, Richard Gillott and his wife, Marie, of Prospect and George L. Gillott III and his wife, Christine, of Prospect; three grandchildren, Amanda Linsley and her husband, Jason, Geoffrey Gillott and Elyse Gillott; and a great-grandson, Kevin Linsley.
Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, is in charge of arrangements.
