Gilberto Maldonado

Gilberto Maldonado, age 91, of Waterbury entered into rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at his home. He was the devoted husband of Miriam Juan-Camacho Maldonado for over 57 years. Gilberto was born on October 11, 1927 in Isabela, Puerto Rico, son of the late Felix and Julia Maldonado.

He worked for Pitney Bowes as a Piece Maker until his retirement. He was a well-liked individual that would help anyone out when needed and was always there for his family.

Gilberto is the beloved father of Heriberto Maldonado and his wife, Drucila of Bridgeport; Sara Maldonado of Isabela, PR; Carmen Gloria Maldonado of Isabela, PR; and Maria Antonia Maldonado of Isabela, PR. He is the loving grandfather of Lucas Maldonado of Bridgeport; Raquel Alexandra Olenik of Orem, UT; Gabriel Maldonado of Brooklyn, NY; Cynthia Maldonado, Carolina Maldonado and Vanessa Maldonado all of Salem, MA; and he also leaves his cherished great-grandchild, Audrey Blair Demoya.

He was predeceased by his son, Edwin Maldonado and his daughter, Ana Maldonado.
