WATERBURY- Georgette Madeline Allard, 83, of Waterbury passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday April 28, 2011, after losing her battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born Feb. 29, 1928 to Maurice & Juliet (Beret) Chevre; she graduated from Waterbury Catholic High; worked for Timex/Bendix; and was the wife of the late James A. Allard.
Georgette was an active member of 1st Assembly of God, dedicated to serving the LORD. She was a great cook, talented artist, and loved her family.
Georgette is survived by her sister Lillian Carroll (Chevre); step-son James Allard Jr; son Gary Allard; daughters Betty McCleary (Tom), Jacqueline Shirk (Joel); grandchildren Michelle Cardona, Jamie, David & Taylor Shirk, Rebecca & Sarah Allard; dear friend Linda DellaValle, and close family and friends.
A service will be held to celebrate Georgette's life on Saturday, May 7th at 1 PM at First Assembly of God Church on 1245 Thomaston Ave, Waterbury. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Georgette's name may be made to 1st Assembly of God Church, 1245 Thomaston Ave, Waterbury, 06704.
