George R. Harper

OXFORD - George R. Harper, 63, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Judith (Rice) Harper

George was born on October 22, 1958, in Waterbury, son of the late George Harper and Shirley Fitzgerald. He was a custodian for Regional School District 15 for twenty years, until his retirement in 2021.

In addition to his wife of 25 years, Mr. Harper leaves behind his daughter Alyssa McLean and her husband, Ryan, and his son, Trevor Harper. George will also be missed by his granddaughter, Madeleine McLean, his sister Traci Butler and her late husband, Tom, his sister Cheri Scamporlina and her husband Joe, his step-mother, Barbara Harper, his niece Lisa, and family, and many cousins. Mr. Harper was predeceased by his younger brother, Darrin Lewin.

George will be missed by all of his family, friends, coworkers, and students that saw Mr. George every day at school.
