CHESHIRE - George E. Forster, 70, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Mid-State Medical Center. He was the husband of Judith (Terlizzi) Forster.
Mr. Forster was born August 21, 1945 in Derby, the son of the late George P. and Helen (Segenchuk) Forster. He was a longtime resident of Cheshire moving from Beacon Falls. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed Financial Planner and Tax Consultant having formerly worked in the auto industry as an electrician. He enjoyed fishing, boating, WWII Military History, NASCAR and vacationing with his grandson. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Mark Twain novels.
Besides his wife Judith of 45 years, he is survived by his son Karl Forster and his wife Samantha and his grandson Carter of Powell, OH; his brother Robert Forster and his wife Deb of Florida; his sister Karen Berardi and husband Tom of South Carolina.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2016, 9:15 from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in George’s name to Cure PSP, 30 E. Padonia Rd., Suite 201, Timonium, MD.
