WALLINGFORD - Genevieve Ouellette, 88, formerly of Cheshire, passed away Thursday November 29, 2012 at Masonicare of Wallingford. For 63 years, she shared a happy and loving marriage with her husband Henry Ouellette.
Mrs. Ouellette was born February 6, 1924 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Antonino and Mary (Claps) Amenta. She had been a longtime Cheshire resident, where she was a communicant of Church of the Epiphany, before moving to Masonicare of Wallingford.
Besides her husband Henry, Mrs. Ouellette is survived by her daughters Ayn Gelinas of Milford, Mary Schell and her husband Ward of Barrington, IL, Margaret Shay and her husband John of Cheshire; as well as six grandchildren, Katy Schell of New York, Caroline and Teddy Schell of Barrington, IL, and Lyn, Genevieve, and Kelly Shay all of Cheshire.
Mrs. Ouellette was a loving and devoted mother. She was always kind and most willing to listen to her daughters and grandchildren. Genevieve is remembered for the wonderful meals she prepared for her family.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Monday December 3, 2012 9 a.m. from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St to Church of the Epiphany Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
