OAKVILLE — Mark P. Genereux, 41, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 7, 2012. He was the husband of Dawn (Turmel) Genereux.
Mr. Genereux was born on Dec. 29, 1970, in Waterbury, a son of the late Raymond Genereux Sr. and Ann Genereux of Prospect. He worked in maintenance for Stevens Co. in Thomaston. He has also worked as a sheet metal mechanist for A Plus Sheet Metal and Johnson Sheet Metal. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his wife of Oakville and mother of Prospect, he is survived by his two sons, Mark Daniel and Zachary Michael Genereux, both of Oakville; sister, Beth Ann Trantum of Naugatuck; and two brothers, Michael G. Genereux of Prospect and Raymond G. Genereux Jr. and his companion Sandra Jensen of Oakville. He also leaves his in-laws, Patricia Turmel and her companion Charlie Melancon of South Carolina, Joseph Turmel of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Tami Wiesniak and her husband Ron Wiesniak, and niece, Kayla Wiesniak of Oxford; and many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect, on Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
