NAUGATUCK – Ella (Schultz) Gamache, widow of Edward J. Gamache died on Sunday, February 4, 2018.
Ella was born April 4, 1924, daughter of the late Joseph and Ellen (Weinert) Schultz and was a lifelong resident of Naugatuck.
She was a Volunteer Foster Grandparent for over 20 years; 10 of those years with the Headstart Program in Naugatuck. Ella’s joys were spending time at her home and in her flower garden and watching her grand dogs, Casey and Sparky.
She is survived by a son, Edward J. Gamache and his fiancé Dawn Ekberg of Naugatuck; a daughter, Janet J. Caudill of Albuquerque, N.M.; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael R. Gamache and a brother, Edward Mariano.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Staff at Wolcott View Manor, especially the West Wing and Season’s Hospice and Palliative Care for the care they gave to Ella.
A Private Funeral will be held with graveside services in St. James Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, to honor Ella’s memory, contributions may be made to Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, 103 Vision Way, Bloomfield, CT 06002.
