Prairie Village, KS Ann Alice Gagnon (nee Alisauskas), beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on October 3, 2023, in Prairie Village, Kansas. She was born on March 28, 1943, in Waterbury, CT. to the late Edward and Anna Alisauskas. Ann will be remembered for her deep love of her family and friends.
Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Dr. Jean Paul Gagnon, her loving daughter, Heather Gagnon-Wong, her sisters, Bobbie Sgrillo and Terri Krisavage, her grandchildren, Zoe Gagnon, Atticus Gagnon, Travers Wong, Amelie Wong, and Isabelle Wong, her dear friends, Tom & Shirley McHale, brother & sister in law Frank & Carolyn Stack. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathon Gagnon, Ann also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
The family would like to thank her caregivers Mikki & Bridget who lovingly cared for Ann during her illness of dementia.
Ann received her education from St. Joseph's Grammar School and Croft High School, both located in Waterbury. She further pursued her passion for nursing at the Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. Ann dedicated her career as an OR Nurse, serving in both Connecticut and North Carolina.
Outside of her professional life, Ann found joy in various hobbies. She had a talent for rug hooking, appreciated antiques, and found solace in bird watching.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family to honor Ann's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, a cause close to Ann's heart.
Ann Alice Gagnon will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kindness, love, and unwavering care will forever be cherished. May she rest in eternal peace.
