Beacon Falls – Gabriel R. Fuoco, 77, passed away on December 22, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Shirley E. Fuoco of 57 years. He was born on July 16, 1944 in Derby, Connecticut to the late Mario and Josephine Fuoco.
Gabe was raised in Beacon Falls and graduated from Naugatuck High School. He owned and operated Gabe’s Service Station in Beacon Falls for 60 years before his retirement in 2019.
Gabe was a member of Beacon Hose Co. 1 for over 50 years and worked as a constable in Beacon Falls. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Shirley (Rebensky) Fuoco he is survived by his sister, Linda (Fuoco) Kevit, his brother, Vincent Fuoco and his wife, Sandy, his two sons; Mark Fuoco and Gary Fuoco and his wife Sandra Bartlett, his grandson, Zackery Fuoco, his granddaughter, Alyssa Mitchell, his brother-in-law, Paul Rebensky Sr. and his wife Josephine, his sister-in-law, Patricia Parker, several nieces and nephews and his loving dog, Savannah, who was always by his side. Gabe was predeceased by his three brothers-in-law; Charles Kevit, Ronald Moffat and Warren Parker.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beacon Hose CO 1, 35 North Main Street, Beacon Falls, CT 06403.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00am at the Church of New Life, 74 Kelly Road, Middlebury, CT 06762. Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
