Fred Iannucci 98 of Currier Place, died Sunday at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Nancy (Peckingham) Iannucci .
Fred was born in New Haven on March 21 1910.He was the son of the late Carmine and Rose (Cruz) Iannucci. A Retired maintenance worker for the Waste Management Co. in New Haven CT. He also was the owner of the former Freds Auto Body Works in West Haven. He was a communicant and usher of the Church of the Epiphany. Fred in his youth was a Boxer and Runner. He was also a 4th degree, past Grand Navigator, color guard and charter member of the Knights of Columbus Father Curtin Council # 2541 in West Haven, CT. Fred also was a recipient of the St. Joseph medal of the Arch Diocese of Hartford. Fred was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather and will be sadly missed by his relatives and friends.
Besides his wife Fred is survived by two sons David and his wife Lynsey Iannucci of Deep River and Donald Peckingham of Cheshire, two daughters Susan and her husband John Dzurenka of Chester and Alice and her husband Andrew Carrano of Bethany, also two sisters Louise Purcell of Hamden and Rose Bruno of East Haven. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his 1st wife Angelina Chevett Iannucci, two sons Lawrence and Frederick Iannucci Jr and several brothers and sisters.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 23 at the Church of the Epiphany 1750 Huckins Rd, Cheshire at 11:00AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery in North Haven. Calling Hour will be at the church from 10:00 AM to the time of the Mass. The Slater Funeral Home 242 South Main St. Cheshire is in charge of arrangements..
