CHESHIRE - Frank E. Normandy, 85, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Rose (Raymond) Normandy.
Mr. Normandy was born June 21, 1927 in Boston, MA the son of Francis and Yvonne (Laurent) Normandy. He was a longtime Cheshire resident previously residing in Wolcott. He owned and operated Yalesville Plating for many years until his retirement in the late 1980's.
Besides his wife of 50 years, he is survived by his son Mark Normandy and his wife Debra of Wolcott; his four daughters Donna Murphy and her husband Mark of Waterbury, Laurene D'Amico and her husband Marc of Plainville, Linda Mahoney and her husband Timothy of Cheshire, Marie Malis and her husband Keith of Cheshire; his sisters Loretta and Madeline; his grandchildren Melissa Murphy, Coleen Makoski, Meghan Murphy, Mark, Kurt, and Steve Normandy, Anthony and Angela D'Amico, Tyler and Zakary Mahoney, and Ashleigh Battle. He is predeceased by his siblings Rita, Joanne and Teddy.
The Normandy family would like to thank VITAS Hospice for their wonderful support during Mr. Normandy's illness.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Monday April 8, 2013, 10 a.m. at the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
