WATERBURY - Francis J. Pronovost Sr., 83, passed away at Wolcott View Manor on Friday November 23, 2012. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Milot) Pronovost.
Mr. Pronovost was born March 3, 1929 in Waterbury the son of the late Lucien and Mabel (Pilliose) Pronovost and step-son of the late Frederick "Fred" Chevrier. He was a lifelong Waterbury resident where he was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. He was a truck driver for 34 years and drove for the fromer CR&L busline for 3 years, and a member of Teamsters Local 677.
Mr. Pronovost is survived by his sons Robert D. Pronovost of Waterbury, William P. Pronovost and his wife Paula of Watebury, Lucien C. Pronovost of Waterbury, and Michael D. Pronovost of Waterbury; his daughter-in-law Susan Pronovost ; his brother Eugene "Gene" Pronovost of Portland, OR; his sister Lorraine Chevrier of Waterbury; his grandchildren Rosemary Pronovost, Thomas J. Pronovost Jr., and Maryteresa C. Pronovost; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is predeceased by his sons Francis J. Pronovost Jr. and Thomas J. Pronovost Sr.; a grandson Patrick A. Pronovost; as well as a brother Lucien Pronovost.
The family would also like to acknowledge the kindness, caring and compassion shown by the entire staff of Wolcott View Manor.
Arrangements - Funeral services will be held on Monday November 26, 2012 8:45 from the Mulville Funeral Home, 270 West Main St. to St. Francis Xavier Church for Mass at 9:30. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
