Frances M. Spirito

CHESHIRE- Frances "Fran" (Tripodina) Spirito, 80, passed away Tuesday September 2, 2014. She was the wife of the late Peter Spirito.

Mrs. Spirito was born on July 27, 1934 in Cheshire, the daughter of the late James and Florence (Terzano) Tripodina. Mrs. Spirito was a life time Cheshire resident and member of the First Congregational Church of Cheshire as well as a member of the Cheshire Grange. She owned and operated a Day Care Center out of her home for over 30 years.

Mrs. Spirito is survived by her three sons Daniel and his wife Nancy of Southington, David of Wallingford, and Joseph of Cheshire; her two daughters Naomi O'Leary of Cheshire and Sarah of Cheshire; her brothers Vincent Tripodina and his wife Lisa of West Rutland, VT, Michael Tripodina and his wife Rhonda of Cheshire, and Raymond Tripodina and his wife Carin of Portland; her seven grandchildren Sarah, Shelly and Lisa Brayfield, Rachel DeFilio and her husband Michael, Patrick O'Leary, Olivia Maturo and Hunter Peters; her three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her 5 sisters Josephine, Flora, Jean, Mary Elizabeth, and Ann.

Arrangements – A Memorial Service will be held Friday September 12, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Cheshire, 111 Church Drive. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Cheshire Hillside Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church 111 Church Dr., Cheshire, CT 06410.
