Frances Aliano

Frances A. "Frannie" Aliano, age 90, entered into rest on Friday, November 15, 2013 at her home in Cheshire with her loving family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank Aliano, and her previous husband the late Domenic Ostuno. Frannie was born on June 12, 1923 in Goia, Italy, daughter of the late Guiliano and Maria Theresa D'Amico Riccitelli.

Frannie worked her entire life on her farm, Sunny Acres Farm in Cheshire, up until May of this year. She enjoyed cooking for everyone and she fed numerous amounts of people. A Foster Mother, always putting others needs first, she also sent many donations to the La Salette Seminary. Frannie and her farm were both very well known in the Cheshire and the surrounding communities, she treasured her customers, many whom became lifelong friends.

She is the beloved mother of Janet von Staats of East Haddam; Saverio "Sonny" Ostuno and his wife Susan of Cheshire; Ronald Ostuno of Cheshire; Kim Jarjura and her husband Fred of Cheshire and Christine Aliano of Waterbury. Frannie is the loving grandmother of Jessica Abildgaard and her husband Chris; Dustin Roberts; Jeffrey Ostuno and his wife Krista; John Locus; Michael VanHaaften; Katie Jarjura and Anna Jarjura, she also leaves her cherished great grandchildren Madelyn, Leah, Jared, Dominic, Todd and Ryan. She is survived by her sister, Maria "Molly" Esposito of Cheshire, and was predeceased by her brother John Riccitelli.

Frannie's funeral procession will leave the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 So. Main St., Cheshire CT 06410 on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 9:30AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30AM in St. Bridget Church, Cheshire. Burial will follow at her family plot in Beaverdale Memorial Park in Hamden. Friends may greet the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 from 4PM to 8PM.
