CHESHIRE - Florence Savelle, 79, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus. She was the wife of the late Stuart Savelle.
Mrs. Savelle was born November 9, 1935 in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late Francis and the late Madeline (Wachter) Eaton. She was employed by various agencies as a switchboard operator/receptionist, and found her greatest joys with her family, her dogs, traveling, and aboard the family boat, the JEST. She shared a hearty and honest laugh with everyone she knew.
She is survived by four sons and their wives: Jeffrey and Susan Savelle of Cheshire, Eric Savelle and Jeanne of Naugatuck, Scott and Carol Savelle of Burlington, and Todd Savelle of Cheshire; her brother Thomas Eaton and his wife Ruth; her nine grandchildren Alyson, Lindsay, Heather, Daniel, Stuart, Tobias, Elliot, Maya, and Jack, as well as her nieces and nephews and their children.
Arrangements – Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, 11:15 a.m. from the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire 615 S. Main St., to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 12 noon. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning at the funeral home from 10:30 until the funeral procession leaves for church.
